William Joseph Klapperich

William “Bill” Joseph Klapperich, age 67, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away at his home on Monday, September 14, 2026. Bill was born on November 4, 1958, to Raymond and Rosemary Klapperich. He graduated from Austin High School in 1977. Bill enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved taking his dog, Smokey - his best friend and companion - to the dog park, on long walks, and for car rides.

Survivors include his son, Elijah Klapperich of Albert Lea, MN; siblings, James Klapperich of Austin, MN; Ruth (Ed) Arons of Austin, MN; Tom (Penny) Klapperich of Austin, MN; Nancy (Bob) Herron of Le Sueur, MN; and Kelly (Mike) Engh of Woodbury, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Rosemary Klapperich, and his great-nephew, Nathan Dorsey.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Bill will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Austin, Minnesota. The visitation will take place one hour prior to Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Austin. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
