Willard "Bob" Block

Willard G. "Bob" Block, age 95, of Austin, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Comforcare. Bob was born May 5, 1916 in Austin to William and Lucy Block. In 1934 he was united in marriage to Ruth I. Cox. He attended ICS for Electrical Engineering and was on the Austin Utility Board of Directors. Bob was a retired employee of Hormel Foods. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and fishing. Bob was a member of the Austin Country Club, the Elk's Lodge and St. Augustine Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Block, Austin; four children, Roger (Jeannine) Block, Stewartville, Janice (Ken) Regner, Ft. Myers, FL, Doug (Kathy) Block, So. St. Paul, Ronald Block, Austin; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great great grandsons; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 30, 2011 at Mayer Funeral Home with Father Joe Fogal officiating. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
