Victoria Elizabeth Manning

Victoria Elizabeth Manning, age 65, of Austin, Minnesota and formerly of Wamego, Kansas, left us to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2025. She was born on August 2, 1959, in Manhattan, Kansas to Duane and Juanita “Joanne” (Polson) Manning. Victoria loved animals, from the cats at Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary, where she enjoyed volunteering, to the plentiful wildlife that frequented her backyard. She enjoyed watching tv shows and listening, singing, and dancing to music. Her two favorite songs were “Okie from Muskogee” by Merle Haggard and “Kiss An Angel Good Mornin’” by Charlie Pride. Many have enjoyed Victoria’s artsy talents, from a crocheted mouse to a handmade airplane made out of toothpicks. She even sent a picture she painted to the President of the United States. Victoria prioritized relationships with fun, laughter, and her carefree personality as well as creating time for her personal and spiritual privacy.

Victoria is survived by her brother, Patrick (Hanna) Manning, and her sister, Malinda (Sam) Odle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Juanita “Joanne” Manning, and her stepmother, Lula Manning.

She was loved by many, and her memory will be cherished forever! Thank you for teaching us to enjoy life by the little moments!

The following handwritten note (in her beautiful cursive writing) was found among her personal belongings: “Maybe God wanted us to meet the wrong people before meeting the right ones so when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift!”

Victoria will be laid to rest later this summer at a private memorial service in Kansas. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
