Velma Elaine Vick

Velma Elaine Vick, age 93, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025, at The Cedars of Austin. Velma was born January 14, 1932, in Austin, to Earl and Flossie (Cole) Beckel. She graduated from Austin High School in 1950 and married Clifton Vick on September 30, 1950, at the Church of Christ in Austin. Velma briefly worked at Sears Hardware and was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she actively volunteered. She enjoyed various hobbies, including golfing, bowling, knitting, crocheting, and canning.

Survivors include her son, Stephen Vick of Garner, Iowa; daughter, Kathy Hale of Garland, Texas; three grandchildren, Daniel Hale, Matthew Vick, and Amy (Paul) Miller; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Abbey Miller; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifton; daughter-in-law, Kathy Vick; son-in-law, Frank Hale; two brothers, Bernard and Leland Beckel; and one sister, Lucille Weinmann.

A memorial service for Velma will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. At Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. The visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Austin. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church in Austin. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
