VaLois Darlene Thoen

VaLois Darlene Thoen, age 78, of Austin, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Comforcare-Good Samaritan. 

VaLois was born in Mason City, Iowa on January 10, 1946, to Truman and Evelyn Thoen. She grew up on farms by Kensett, IA, Austin, MN and Blooming Prairie, MN and graduated from Blooming Prairie High School. VaLois was a kind soul to all those that knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert and Elaine Thoen, Darrell Thoen; brother-in-law, LaVerne Kehret. Survived by her sister, Virginia Kehret; five nephews and their spouses; many great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Charlotte Cobeen. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Comforcare and Mayo Hospice for their wonderful care. A special thank you to Marie and Sarah, they were so good to VaLois.
