Urban John Hemann, age 79, of Austin, died Friday, July 8,  2011 in Lanesboro.        Urban was born March 14, 1932 in  Meyer, Iowa to William and Christina (Koenigs) Hemann.  He  grew up in Meyer and attended Sacred Heart Catholic School.   Urban left school to help on the family farm and he worked for Bob  Dunnley outside of the family farm at the age of 15 for three  years, until he started work for Ed Moore where he worked for 28  years from 1951 to 1979.         On October 7, 1961 he was united in  marriage to Delores Foxen in New Haven, Iowa.  In 1979, Urban  began to hobby farm.  The couple moved to Austin in 1990 and  Urban worked at QPP for five years.  He retired at the age of  64 and enjoyed his hobby farm, grandchildren, great grandchildren,  polka music, farm animals and helping his children.        Survivors include his wife, Delores  Hemann, Austin; children, Susan (Renaldo) Jones, Austin, Catherine  Hemann Winsky (Ryan Helin), Austin, Thomas (Susan) Hemann, Austin,  Michael Hemann, Austin, Paul (Misti) Hemann, Austin, Kevin Hemann  (Jolene Holty), Austin; grandchildren, Robert and Michael Frost,  Dustin and Vannessa Winsky, Zack, Chris and Heather Hemann, Patrick  Hemann, Alex Hemann; great grandchildren, Abraham, Kadince,  Taliyah, Aubree; brother, Peter (Beverly) Hemann, Osage, IA; many  nieces, nephews and in-laws.        He is preceded in death by his  parents, William and Christina Hemann; brothers, Albert and Fritz  Hemann; sisters, Helen and Margaret.        A memorial mass will be  celebrated 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at St. Peter's  Catholic Church in Rose Creek with Father Tom Loomis  officiating.  Friends may call from 2-5 pm on Sunday at Mayer  Funeral Home where there will be a 3:00 pm rosary and wake  service.  The family will also greet friends at a luncheon  following the service at the church on Tuesday.  Interment  will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in New Haven,  Iowa.
