Timothy Wagner

Timothy (Tim) (Skip) John Wagner, age 60, of Austin, died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin, after a five-month battle with cancer. Tim was born May 18, 1958 in Austin, Minnesota to David and Muriel (Hemann) Wagner. The fourth of five children, Tim grew up in Austin, graduated from Pacelli High School and attended the University of Minnesota. On March 20, 1993 he married Pamela Kay Youngmark. The couple raised their daughters, Lisa and Amy, in Austin and cared for their grandson, Gabe. For the past seven years, Tim dedicated himself to the care and well-being of Pam, who became disabled in 2011. His love and commitment were an inspiration to all. Tim was a co-owner of Wagner Construction Company of Austin, a family business started by grandfather Nicholas Wagner and passed down from his father, David. He took great pride in his work and shared his building skills with friends and family. Tim loved his pets, to fish, especially at Mille Lacs Lake, and was an avid fan of his Minnesota sports teams. Go Vikings! Among many attributes, he will be remembered for his hard work, sensitive heart and incredible sense of humor. Survivors include his beloved wife, Pam Wagner, Austin, MN; daughters, Lisa Wagner, Austin, MN, Amy Wagner, Albert Lea, MN; four grandchildren, Gabriel Rembao, Kahliya Carranza, Davion Hunter, Tysean Brown; brother Terrence (Barb) Wagner, Austin, MN; sisters Susan (Tom) Peterson, Big Bend, WI, Mary Beth (Thomas) Green, Spooner, WI, Amy Wagner, Austin, MN; sisters-in-law Donna (Dave) Becker, Mable, MN, Linda Youngmark, Austin, MN, Peggy Youngmark, New Hope, MN; aunts Joyce Mallory, Austin, MN, Jeanne Hermanson, Barbara Burke, Gretchen McNamara, Hastings, MN; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, infant sons Liam, Nathan and Jacob; infant granddaughter Malani; brothers-in-law, Ronald Youngmark, Arden Youngmark, Richard Youngmark; numerous aunts and uncles. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin with Father James Steffes officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Private interment. Memorials are preferred to Sacred Heart Care Center. Condolences may be left online at www.mayerfh.com
