Thomas Jean Farnsworth

Thomas Jean Farnsworth, age 84, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at his daughter’s home. Tom was born on February 13, 1942, in Austin, Minnesota, to Jean and Genevieve (Smith) Farnsworth. He graduated from Austin High School. Following graduation Tom met the love of his life, Billie Karen Wilkinson. The couple was married on May 16, 1960. Together Tom and Billie helped her parents run Klagges Ice Cream Shop for many years. Tom then went to work for Hormel for 36 years. After his retirement from Hormel he began working at HyVee as a delivery driver. Billie passed away on March 9, 2010. A couple years later he met Carolyn Stursa and they loved each other until the end of his life. Tom enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, and listening to music. He loved helping people, if you needed something he was the person to call. He will be greatly missed.

Tom is survived by his girlfriend, Carolyn Stursa of Owatonna; son, Scott Farnsworth of Austin; daughter, Lisa (Robert “Bobby”) Belluzzi of Austin; grandchildren, Christopher (Val) Neumann of Phoenix, Arizona, Robert “Bobby” (Tiffany) Neumann of Goodyear, Arizona, Jacob Farnsworth of Austin, Luke Bednar of Austin, and Cora Gray of Owatonna; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Pam (Dan) Mercer of Minnetonka, Sue (Dan) Wagner of Colorado; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Genevieve; wife, Billie; daughter, Shirley Farnsworth; and sister, Sharon Neeck.

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. A private family interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Austin, at a later date. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
