Terry Thomas Sydnes

Terry Thomas Sydnes, age 69, of Elmore, Minnesota, and formerly of Austin, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Elmore Assisted Living in Elmore. Terry was born on March 13, 1956, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Irving and Blanche (Kelly) Sydnes. He graduated from Albert Lea High School and attended college at Winona State University. Terry served our country in the United States Navy for four years until his honorable discharge. He loved the Minnesota Vikings, pizza, and every dog he ever met. We find peace in knowing he is with reunited with his parents.

Terry is survived by his sister, Cindy (John) Ahrens of Winona, Minnesota; nieces and nephews, Paula (Todd) Burkart, Erik Amann, Ashley Sydnes, and Cory Prudoehl; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Blanche; siblings, Tom, Bonnie (Paul), Rick, Ronnie, and Randy; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering for Terry will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, at a later date. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
