Tamara "Tammy" Sue Srock

Tamara “Tammy” Sue (Alwes) Srock, age 67, of rural Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, died on Sunday, March 15, in Owatonna, Minnesota. She was born on October 5, 1958, at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin, Minnesota, to Elvin and Celia (Hogan) Alwes. She was the youngest of nine siblings. Tammy graduated with the class of 1977 from Blooming Prairie High School. Shortly after, she met her husband of 47 years, Michael John Srock. They were married on September 2, 1978, at the First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie. Tammy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a passion for reading, fishing, hunting, camping, and riding motorcycles with her husband. Tammy also enjoyed gardening, beadwork, baking, and canning, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Tammy is survived by her three children, William (Jennifer) Srock, Melissa (Alex) Gruhlke, and Johnathan (Jordan) Srock. She leaves behind her six grandchildren, Isabella, Kage, Gavin, Paysen, Tahlon, and Aria. She is also survived by seven of her siblings, Donna Ward, Linda Gravenish, Bud Alwes, Richard Alwes, Cheryl Hatten, Debbie Paulsen, and Kevin Alwes. Tammy was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Srock; parents, Elvin and Celia Alwes; and sister, Teri Schnebly.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
