On Wednesday, September 8, 2010, Stephanie Ellingson of Austin, Minnesota was killed near Circle, Montana in a tragic automobile accident. She was born on July 29, 1983 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the daughter of Steven and Lisa Cumber. In addition to her parents, Stephanie is survived by her daughter, Olivia Ann, age 7, Olivia's father, Travis Ellingson, currently stationed in the Navy in Seattle, Washington, a half-sister, Sarah Cottrell-Cumber, a half-brother Matthew Cottrell-Cumber. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Mary J. Lenoch, her paternal grandparents, Dorothy (Denny) Cumber and David Cumber and his wife, Kay, six aunts, five uncles, and twenty-seven cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Floyd Lenoch, her aunt, Mary Ellen Rubel and a cousin, Abby Lenoch. After attending Austin High School, she graduated magna cum laude from St. Martin's University in Tacoma, Washington with a B.A. in Psychology. Currently, she was pursuing a master's program in Social Work. In looking at Steph's life, we are overcome with the love she had for her daughter, Olivia. Steph loved her family - she loved the outdoors - and she had a zest for life that could not be contained. We, all of her family and many friends, will miss her dearly and cherish the memories of our time together. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am on Friday, September 17, 2010 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Paul Nelson officiating. There will be a 6:30 pm wake service on Thursday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4-7 pm and also one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Stephanie's daughter, Olivia Ellingson c/o 21 Sarrington Court, Stafford, VA, 22554.
