Sandra Marie Benner

Sandra Marie Benner, age 74, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away, Monday, September 15, 2025, at St. Mark’s Living in Austin. Sandra was born June 26, 1951, to Elmer and Patricia (Anderson) Weber in Austin, Minnesota. She attended Austin High School and later obtained her GED, followed by a medical secretary certificate from Riverland Community College in Austin. She dedicated many years of her life to working as a dietary aide at St. Mark’s Living, then as a cook at the Holiday Inn, and later as an aide at REM. Sandra married William “Bill” Benner, and together had two sons, Chad and Brad. The couple later divorced. Sandra was later blessed with another son, Matt. She enjoyed crocheting, diamond art, and trips to the casino. Sandra will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sons, Chad (Nikki) Benner and Matt Tomlinson; grandchildren, Stephany, Cody, Tory, and Kaysie; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Ann Gaines, Linda (Russell) Anderson, Kathie (Charles) Helland, Joan (Roni) VanRiper, and Jean (Dale) Ackland; and special friend, Greg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Patricia Weber; ex-husband, Bill in 2010; son, Brad; grandson, Trevor Benner; and two sisters, Nancy Weber and Carol Anderson.

A celebration of life for Sandra will take place from 11:00-1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin, Minnesota. Interment will follow at Red Oak Grove Lutheran Cemetery, rural Austin. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
