Riley Brown

Riley Leith Brown, age 77, of Austin, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013, peacefully at home after a long illness. Riley was born February 15, 1936 in Montevideo, Minnesota to Riley and Alma Brown. On September 22, 1956 he was united in marriage to Rosemary Belden in Austin where they raised their family. Riley was an over the road truck driver most of his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Riley was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Brown, Austin, MN; son, Chuck (Shelly) Brown, Hayfield, MN; son, Rick (Sue) Brown, Austin, MN; daughter, Mary (John) Champa, Chisholm, MN; daughter, Cindy (Tom) Mattson, Albertville, MN; special sister-in-law, Deb (Byron) Gardner, Andover, MN; son-in-law, Dan Haymon, Garland, TX; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; brother, Forrest (Lola) Brown, Albert Lea, MN; sister, Dody (Dennis) Ferch, Owatonna, MN; sister, Darlene (Charlie) Clifton, Denver, NC. He is preceded in death by his parents, Riley and Alma; brother and sister-in-law, Francis and Barb Brown; daughter, Vicky Haymon; infant son, Thomas Riley Brown; two grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Jim Steffes officiating. There will be a 6:30 pm wake service on Friday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4-7 pm and also one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.
