Randy Joe Wurst

Randy Joe Wurst, age 69, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at his home. Randy was born June 20, 1956, in Austin, Minnesota, to Joseph and Shirley (Cox) Wurst. He graduated from Blooming Prairie High School and spent many years working as a mechanic and an over-the-road truck driver. Randy was known for his love of racing, both local events and NASCAR.

Survivors include his mother, Shirley Wurst of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota; children, Jennifer Lura of Duluth, Minnesota, Nicole (Brad) Nelson of Phoenix, Arizona, and Tiffany Wurst of Northfield, Minnesota; siblings, Dani (Barb) Wurst of Faribault, Minnesota, Sheryl (Ken) Gorman of Austin, Minnesota, and Timothy (Tammy) Wurst of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Wurst.

A memorial gathering for Randy will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. A brief prayer service will take place at 3:45 p.m. Interment will be in First Lutheran Cemetery, rural Blooming Prairie, at a later date. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
