Randolph “Randy” Dean Siewert, age 72, of rural Dexter, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, following health complications.
Randy was born on May 16, 1954, to Dean and Lavonne (Peach) Siewert. He grew up in Dexter and attended Elkton High School, graduating in 1972. Throughout his life, Randy followed his own path, developed his own interests, and built a life filled with familiar places, favorite pastimes, and people who became part of his world.
Over the years, Randy appreciated the simple pleasures of life, whether that meant sitting beside a fire, working in his yard, or spending time with his tractor—a 300 that held a special place in his routine and heart. He found satisfaction in tending to his property, keeping busy with projects, and enjoying the comfort of familiar surroundings.
Randy also valued the company of many close friends. Some of his favorite moments were the everyday ones spent visiting, sharing stories, enjoying a laugh, or simply being together. He had a particular fondness for animals and enjoyed the companionship of his friends’ pets. Those who knew Randy will remember his distinctive personality, his straightforward way of doing things, and the many little habits and interests that made him unmistakably himself.
He is survived by his children, Matthew, Jeremiah, and Thomas, as well as siblings Carmon and Sylvia, and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Lavonne, and his brother, DuWayne.
Randy will be remembered in different ways by the people who knew him, each carrying their own memories and stories. For those who shared time with him, his presence was part of the familiar rhythm of everyday life: a fire burning, a yard to work on, a tractor nearby, friends stopping in, and the company of a four-legged friend.
Randy’s story was uniquely his own, and he will be remembered and dearly missed by those whose lives crossed his along the way.
A celebration of life for Randy will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
