Phyllis Delores Wiedemann

Phyllis Delores Wiedemann, age 91, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System Austin. Phyllis was born on November 9, 1934, in Austin, Minnesota, to parents, Paul E. Sr., and Alma O. (Anderson) Haynes. She attended and graduated from Austin High School. On June 10, 1956, she married Robert Weidemann at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. Throughout their life they raised their family in Grand Meadow, Elkton, and Austin. Phyllis worked at Kmart as a sales associate and at Comforcare as a CNA. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Eagles Club of Austin. Phyllis loved fishing, playing bingo, diamond painting, playing computer games, and decorating for Christmas. She enjoyed listening to Elvis’s music, watching soap operas and Yellowstone, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. She loved filling her time with family and playing card games such as golf.

Phyllis is survived by her son, Rick (Laurel ONeil) Wiedemann; daughters, Cheryl (Elmer) Mason, Carol Arens, Rhonda (David Jensen) Wiedemann, and Brenda (Art) McNichols; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Paul E. Jr., (JoAnn) Haynes; sister, Mary Meier; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul E. Sr., and Alma O. Haynes; husband, Robert Wiedemann who passed away in 1973; daughters, Lori Arens and Kathy Jo Wiedemann; grandson, Joshua Wiedemann; great-granddaughter, Angel Wiedemann; and brother-in-law, Lowell Meier.

A memorial service for Phyllis will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Austin. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
