Phyllis Katherine Rasmussen

Phyllis K. Rasmussen, age 82, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at her home. Born on May 13, 1944, Phyllis grew up in Austin, graduated from Pacelli School, and spent her career at the Austin Medical Center, where she worked until retirement. She married James Henry Rasmussen on February 22, and together they built their life in Austin.

Phyllis enjoyed baking, crafting, gardening, tending to her flowers, and spent many years as Mrs. Claus at various locations—a role she truly loved. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially when she could go fishing, and she spent many years as a committee member for Relay for Life cancer events. Phyllis had a soft spot for Golden Retrievers and cherished time with her family and friends. Football Sundays were a highlight, and she never missed a chance to cheer on her Green Bay Packers. She also proudly owned her own Harley.

Survivors include her husband, James Rasmussen; three daughters, Debbie Rasmussen, Cherri Rasmussen, and Robyn Rasmussen; two grandsons, Garrett Nelson and Isaac Kenyon; her best friend, Judy Bruggeman; and her loving dog, Gracie.

A funeral service for Phyllis will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. The visitation will take place from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, at the funeral home, and will continue one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Austin. To honor her love for the Green Bay Packers, guests are encouraged to wear green and yellow or their favorite sports attire. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
