Penny Engelman

Penny JoAnne Engelman, age 31, of Austin, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 as a result of an automobile accident. Penny was born December 21, 1979 at St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to Timothy and Linda Engelman. She attended Sumner Elementary School, Ellis Middle School and Austin High School. Penny enjoyed disc golfing, hack, fishing, swimming, nature center walks, road trips, cruising in her car, reading and most of all she loved her son, Ashton. Survivors include her son, Ashton Blaze Arends, Owatonna; mother, Linda Engelman, Austin; sister, Brenda Lynn Engelman, Austin; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Timothy Engelman. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Mayer Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Monson officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 pm on Wednesday and also one hour before the service at Mayer Funeral Home on Thursday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
