Norma Louise Bray

Norma L. Bray, age 85, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Ostrander Care and Rehab Center. Norma was born on September 8, 1938, in Caledonia, Minnesota, to Emil and Lilly Traff. Norma Traff married her husband, William Bray, on September 18, 1954, in Austin. Together they had four children, Dennis, Debra, Danny, and Donald. Norma was a dedicated homemaker and worked as the noon hour lunch lady at Woodson Elementary School in Austin. She was known for her caring nature and the love she showed to all the children she interacted with. Norma moved to The Cedars of Austin in 2012 and enjoyed her time there with many friends. She was very active in the Cedar Community.

Norma is survived by her loving children, Dennis (Kris) Bray, Danny (Chris) Bray, Donald (Linda) Bray, and Debra Harmon; sister, Leona (John) Detwiler; sister-in-law, Wendy (Joe) Niesen; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, William Bray; parents, Emil and Lilly Traff; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Ida Bray; brother, Lester Traff; sister, Gloria Traff; sisters-in-law, Barbara Traff, Louis Raseth, Shirley Hallbach, and Barb Thompson; brothers-in-law, George and Wally Bray; son-in-law, Eugene Harmon; grandson, James Bray; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The graveside service for Norma will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Rose Creek Enterprise Cemetery, rural Austin. Family and friends are welcome to attend and pay their respects to Norma Bray, a beloved member of the community who will be dearly missed. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
