Michael Adams

Michael G. Adams, 48, formerly of Austin, Minnesota died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Fairbault Care Center. He was born May 1, 1964 in Emmetsburg, Iowa to Bruce and Aileen (Pettiecord) Adams. He grew up in Austin and graduated from Austin High School and later from Austin Area Vocational School with a two year degree in Automotive Mechanics. Michael worked at the K-Mart Auto Center and later at South Main Auto. He later received the certification of Master Mechanic. He enjoyed working on cars (a 1970 Roadrunner) and fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother, maternal and paternal grandparents, nephew Dominic and uncle Gerald Adams. Survivors include his father Bruce Adams, stepmother Jaye (Howe) Adams, sister Kristine Adams, sons: Alan, Jesse, Zachary and Joshua, stepsister Kelli Aguilar, step brother Derek Leichtnam, nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. A memorial service for Michael Adams will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 7:00p.m. at the Mayer Funeral Home in Austin. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services. Mayer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
