Marne Elizabeth Schauer

Marne Elizabeth Schauer (Dearmin), age 87, formerly of Austin Minnesota, passed away peacefully at Wildwood Grove in LeRoy, Minnesota, on Sunday, May 11, 2025. Marne grew up on a farm near Oakland, MN with her two brothers and graduated from Austin High School in 1957. She worked various jobs until her son Harvey was born. Marne cherished family time, sharing memories through pictures, and enjoyed cooking, word puzzles, magazines, and shopping.

She is survived by her son, Harvey (Melissa Reimers) Schauer of Austin; her brother, Tom Dearmin, of Lyle; sisters-in-law Joan Dearmin of Denver, Colorado, and Helen Miller of Owatonna; grandchildren, Kendra, Karissa, Kamaree and Princeton; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Tena (Omsberg) Dearmin; brother, Howard Dearmin; sister-in-law, LaVon Dearmin; life partner, Harvey Johnson; and his siblings, Glen, Gertrude, Dorothy, Delbert, Lenore, Lowell, and Evelyn.

Marne’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Wildwood Grove in LeRoy for their exceptional care over the years.

The funeral service for Marne will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home, Austin. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Fairview-Oakland Cemetery. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
