Marlys married the love of her life, John F. “Jack” Dunlop, on July 11, 1959, at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Marlys was co-owner of the Windfall Craft and Gift Store for 37 years. What she cherished most was her time with her family and friends. We will remember most of all the kind and sweet woman Marlys was to everyone.

Marlys was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; parents; brothers, Richard (Sandra) Ruud and Donald Ruud; sister, Janet Bauer; brothers-in-law, James (Judy) Dunlop and Robert Dunlop; and sisters-in-law, Debbie Horejsi, and Nancy Reed.
Marlys spent her last years living with her daughters before moving to Mankato to reside at Ecumen Pathstone Crossing Memory Care. We cannot thank the staff of Ecumen enough for the care, compassion, and love shown to our mom. A special thank you to Beth Pooley and Ecumen Hospice. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Ecumen Pathstone, Ecumen Hospice, or an organization of your choice.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Marlys will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Gregory Leif officiating.
