LuAnn Hahn, 76, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away at home on August 16, 2026.
LuAnn was born April 22, 1950, in Carroll, Iowa, to William and Louise Eich. She graduated from Hayfield High School in 1968 and married James Hahn on December 27, 1969.
LuAnn was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Active in her church, she lived a life marked by faith, grace, and service to others. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting, gardening, cooking, canning, making holiday candies, playing cards, hosting family events, and spending time with her cats.
For 12 years, LuAnn courageously battled Parkinson's disease, meeting each challenge with strength, perseverance, and dignity.
She is survived by her husband, James Hahn; her children, Michelle (Jason) Shippy, Rebecca (Jason Kocina) Hahn, Nicholas Hahn, and Lincoln (Emily) Hahn; her grandchildren, Brandon (Maddy) Neuenburg, Logan Shippy, Teagen Shippy, Gavin Shippy, Andrew Hahn, Jackson Hahn, and Sydney Hahn; her siblings, Darlene (Bill) Timmerman, Dennis Eich, Lynn (Mary) Eich, Karen Eich, Ron Sorenson, Glenn (Carol) Hahn, Eric (Christina) Hahn, Sharon (Vince) Flynn, Sandy (Alan) Iverson, and Roger (Linda) Hahn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Louise Eich, and Joseph and Josephine Hahn; and by her siblings Luverne Eich, Eugene Eich, Virginia (Dale) Hoffman, Sandra Johnson, Marilyn Eich, and Lorraine Eich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin, with Father Andrew Beerman officiating. The visitation will take place from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin and will continue for one hour prior to Mass on Friday at the church. Interment will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Hayfield, Minnesota. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
