Lois Kneeskern

Lois Avon Kneeskern, age 80, of Austin, died Saturday, October 2, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Lois was born June 8, 1930 in Austin to Oscar and Tina (Sanvick) Nuetzmann. She graduated from Austin High School. On November 23, 1950 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Robert Kneeskern at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. Lois was a retired employee of Hormel Foods and a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Lois enjoyed ceramics, bowling, embroidery and spending time with her family on the lake. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Kneeskern, Austin; sons, Steve (Deb) Kneeskern, Austin, Greg Kneeskern, Austin, Eric Kneeskern, Austin; daughter, Renee (Alan) Aswegan, Lyle; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, Lowell (Mary) Nuetzmann, Fremont, NE; sisters, Marylyn Martin, Hudson, WI, Cathy Smith, Baudette, Donna (Richard) Maxwell, New Jersey. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; mother-in-law and father-in-law; two brothers-in-law; a grandson. Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Rev. Dan Kahl officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Mayer Funeral Home.
