LeRoy Walter Brandt, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, July 26, 2025. LeRoy was born August 1, 1941, in Austin, Minnesota, to Walter and Tressa (Wradislavsky) Brandt. He was a lifelong resident of Austin and dedicated most of his life to farming. LeRoy loved to drive his mustangs and attend car shows. He enjoyed all sports, but particularly loved NASCAR and bowling. In 2023, he and his wife, Shirley, were both nominated into the bowling “Hall of Fame.” LeRoy was known for his daily coffee visits with friends at Kenny’s Oak Grill and enjoyed his time as a card shark.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley (Pell) Brandt; youngest son, Brian (Jolene) Brandt; grandchildren, Jacob, Kelsey, and Ashlyn Brandt (fiancé, Ryan Beard); brother, Wayne (Cheryl) Brandt; in-laws, Delores Boyer, Gene and Gloria Pell, and Marcia Sola; niece and nephews, Brenda (Tom) Stutzman, Jeff Littleton, Mike (Wendy) Brandt, Chad (Krista) Pell, Jamie (Erin) Brandt, and Troy (Samantha) Pell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Tressa Brandt; oldest son, Allen in 2021; in-laws, Marcene and Lester Pell; and his brother-in-law, Gary Sola.
Per LeRoy’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, Minnesota. A celebration of life will take place following the interment at Torge’s Live Sports Pub & Grill, 1701 4th St. NW, Austin, MN 55912 at 3:00 p.m. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
