Kathleen "Kathy" Marie Schuna

Kathleen “Kathy” M. Schuna, age 78, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society- Comforcare in Austin. Kathleen Marie Vomacka was born on August 22, 1946, in Austin, Minnesota, to Frank and Mary (Henderson) Vomacka. She attended country school and graduated from Pacelli High School. In 1965, Kathy was united in marriage to Keith Schuna. The couple had three children and later divorced. In the 1980s Kathy attended UW-River Falls for her general studies. Kathy worked many different jobs in the restaurant industry and especially enjoyed her time at the Big Steer, the Windmill, and KFC. She was a longtime member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, watching movies and tv, and crocheting. Most of all Kathy loved people and visiting with her friends. 

Kathy is survived by her children, Rebecca Schuna, Theresa Schuna, and James Schuna; many grandchildren; sister, Betty Towers; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary; brother, Al Vomacka; cousin, Gertie Draayer; and a great-uncle. 

A visitation for Kathy will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
