Karen "KT" Marie Tracy

Karen “KT” Marie Tracy, age 72, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Friday, July 17, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin, Minnesota. Karen was born on September 25, 1953, in Austin, Minnesota to Raymond and Mildred (Janning) Tracy. She grew up in Austin and graduated from Pacelli High School in 1972. She moved around the United States working for many companies such as IBM and Sony. Karen has spent the last 24 years with the love of her life, Cheryl. They were wed on September 24, 2013, at Quarry Hill Nature Center in Rochester, Minnesota. Karen was a member of the Eagles Club. She was a die-hard Vikings fan and enjoyed watching sports. She also enjoyed gardening and taking road trips. She loved people and was known as a “chatty cathy” and was a true jokester.

Karen is survived by her wife, Cheryl Wollschlager; dogs, Jessie and Bear; brother, Vern (Barb) Tracy; sisters, Joanne Mauer and Terry Tracy; father-in-law, Leroy Wollschlager; sister-in-law, Lynn Barnett; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mildred Tracy; mother-in-law, Barb Wollschlager; brother, Richard (Kristi) Tracy; and sister, Lois (Ernie) Hellen.

A graveside service for Karen will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, Minnesota. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
