Josephine Forcelle

Josephine M. Forcelle, age 93, of Austin, died Monday, October 31, 2011 at her home. Jo was born August 4, 1918 in Hampton, Minnesota to Mathias and Catherine (Tix) Rech. She grew up in Faribault and later met Emery J. Forcelle. On August 29, 1940 she and Emery were united in marriage. The couple moved to Austin. Emery preceded her in death on October 11, 1993. Jo was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church in Austin. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending family activities, playing cards and visiting with her many friends. Survivors include her two sons, Donald Forcelle, Blooming Prairie, Marvin Forcelle, Rochester; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and two sisters. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at St. Edward's Catholic Church with Father Jim Steffes and Father Richard Loomis officiating. There will be a 6:30 pm wake service on Wednesday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4-7 pm and also one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
