Joseph Langan

Joseph “Oogie” Langan, age 73, of Austin, died Monday, October 29, 2018 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home. Joe was born July 11, 1945 in Austin, Minnesota to Henry (Stella Drummond) Langan. He grew up in Austin. Joe served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Joe was an over the road truck driver, working for his brother Robert. He also enjoyed hunting, playing cards and portraying his unique personality at the Windrift Lounge. Survivors include his sister, Mary Gatzke, Byron, Minnesota; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Langan, Austin, MN, Mrs. Tom (Gloria) Langan, Austin, MN, Mrs. Jim (Barbara) Langan Austin, MN; brother-in-law, Don Row, Austin, MN; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Mayer Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4-7 pm on Thursday at Mayer Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.
