Jon Terry Patterson

Jon Terry Patterson, age 80, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on October 27, 2026. Jon was born on March 27, 1946, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Earl Patterson and Peggy Terry. He attended high school and later continued his education while serving in the United States Navy. Throughout his working years, Jon worked as a pilot and engineer while in the Navy and also owned and operated Pugar Forest Trucking Company in Wheatland, California. Jon married Linda Perkins on August 8, 1966, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and the couple were blessed with two children.

Jon is survived by his wife, Linda Patterson of Austin; daughter, Tammy Berard; daughter-in-law, Heather Patterson; grandchildren, John Berard, Zachary Berard, Charleze Berard, and Jade Patterson; great-grandchildren, Clara, Lorelai, Brock Lee, Zoey, and Owen; sister, Eileen Zodrow; and other relatives and friends. Jon was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jon Terry Patterson Jr.; and four siblings.

A celebration of life will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at the home of Jon’s nephew, Zane, 1817 5th Ave. SW., Rochester, MN 55902. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
