Janet Kay Marsden

Janet Kay Marsden, age 82, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System - Austin. Janet was born September 4, 1943, in Milaca, MN, the daughter of Lennart and Louisa (Bork) Stark. She graduated from Milaca High School. She was united in marriage to Charles Marsden in Austin. Janet loved sewing, cross stitching, needle point, and especially enjoyed making baby blankets. Janet was a member of Oakland Lutheran Church; she was also a member of Royal Neighbors. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her son, Michael Marsden; grandson, Allen Marsden; siblings, Janice Berg and Jerry Stark. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Charles Marsden; father, Lennart Stark; mother, Louisa Stark; and brother, Jim Stark.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Oakland Town Hall in Oakland, Minnesota. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Oakland, Minnesota. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
