We are sad to report that our sister and good friend, Jane Elizabeth (Morton) Hoshal, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. Jane was the daughter of Ward and Lucille Morton and was born September 2, 1939. She was a 1958 graduate of Blooming Prairie High School, where she was active in singing groups and also the Baptist Church Choir. After graduation, Jane worked for many years in food service and was the salad lady for “Canteen of Minnesota”. After retiring in 2004, she traveled, camped, watched Minnesota Twins games, and searched for antiques.

Survivors include her very good friend, Kathy Moran; brother, Alan Morton; sister, Judy (Doug) Myers; and nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ward and Lucille Morton; sister, Ann Christianson; and two nephews.

Special thanks are expressed to the caregiving staff at Suite Living Memory Care & Assisted Living in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. The compassion and support from the caregiving staff ensured Jane’s dignity, quality of life, and peace of mind till her very last day.
