Irene Eastlee

Irene Elizabeth Eastlee, age 91, of Stewartville, died Sunday August 28, 2011 at the Stewartville Care Center. Irene was born March 2, 1920 in Austin to John and Clara (Enright) Walsh. She was united in marriage to Russell Myron Eastlee at St. Augustine Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on December 4, 1989. Irene was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Valparaiso, Indiana and St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin. Survivors include her children, Sharon Eastlee, Stewartville, Diane (Larry) VonWald, Rapid City, SD, Michael (Connie) Eastlee, Flower Mound, TX; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Weis, Austin, Clair (Jean) Walsh, Portland, OR, Paul Walsh, Kentucky. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, John and Clara Walsh; siblings, Francis Walsh, Ed Walsh, Jack Walsh, Mary Dack, Luella Holdgrafer. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Jim Steffes officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso, Indiana. The casket bearers will be Christopher Eastlee, Joshua Eastlee, Jeff Bihlman, Scott Bihlman, Charles Bihlman, Chris Athanson, Chris Eastlee. Arrangements by Mayer Funeral Home.
