Helen Bjork

Helen Mae Bjork, age 93, of Lansing, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center. Helen was born May 24, 1916 in Richland Township, Iowa to George and Tillie (Lohse) Abbas. She worked as a cook. Survivors include five daughters, Roberta (Edward) Pinkava, Austin, Norma (Richard) Stiernagle, Owatonna, Marilyn Ailts, Hudson, WI, Eloise (Gerald) Teschau, Owatonna, Lola (Roland) Hanson, Blooming Prairie; a son, Rodney (Alice) Bjork, Raleigh, NC; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; brother, Harold Abbas, Janseville, IA. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Bjork; three sons, Franklin Sprung, Ronald Sprung, Robert Bjork. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Mayer Funeral Home with Rev. Kristi Koppel officiating. Friends may call from 5-7 pm on Tuesday at Mayer Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Lansing Cemetery.
