Harold Johnson

Harold Johnson, age 91, of Austin, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin. Harold was born April 13, 1920 in Bricelyn, Minnesota to Anton and Cena (Wangen) Johnson. On December 7, 1944 he was united in marriage to Margaret "Peg" Cummings and shared 67 wonderful years together. They were blessed with five children, 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Margaret "Peg" Johnson, Austin; children, Bev Larson, Austin, Barb (Bruce) Beeman, Austin, Rick (Michele) Johnson, Austin, Nancy (Larry) Espe, Zimmerman, Ron (Jean) Johnson, Maple Grove; 11 granchildren; seven great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by many loved ones. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Dale Tupper officiating. There will be a 6:30 pm wake service on Monday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4-7 pm and also one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
