Gracie Lou Roe

Gracie Lou “Bug” Roe, age 14, of Albert Lea, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health System- Austin.  Gracie was born on May 25, 2009, in Rochester, Minnesota. At seven months old, Gracie found her forever home with her parents, Stacy and Tony. Stacy knew the minute she laid eyes on Gracie in the car seat that she was meant to be part of their family. Tony so strongly felt the same that he wrote Gracie a letter before they even began to foster her. Gracie attended Southgate Middle School in Austin and was currently in the eighth grade. She was the best bell ringer at her school concerts. She adored anything sparkly, Disney music and movies- especially Tangled, and enjoyed sharing ice cream with her daddy. Gracie was her mom’s little lovebug, always ready to give the best hugs and kisses. She loved having her arms tickled, playing with her daddy’s beard, and being with her siblings. She had a very special bond with her brothers; they were her everything. Gracie also loved the sound of motorcycles and having campfires with her family. Our sweet angel, who brought so much joy and love to our family, will be missed forever. 

Gracie is survived by her parents, Tony and Stacy (Halsey) Roe; siblings, Andrew (Vanessa) Thurneau, Tyler (Jessica) Roe, Jordan (Summer Maloney) Roe, Logan (Hailee Koker) Roe, Tanner Roe, Karen Roe, and Leo Roe; eight nieces and nephews, and one on the way; paternal grandparents, Ron and Vicki Gerhardt; maternal grandparents, Chuck and Terri Halsey; paternal great-grandparents, Bruce and Marj Odden; maternal great-grandma, Gloria Anderson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Rick Roe; and great-grandparents.
