Elijah "Eli" Ramin George

Elijah “Eli” Ramin George, age 27, of Albert Lea, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, St. Marys Campus, after a long battle with alcohol addiction. Eli was born on October 17, 1998, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Rebecca Charlson and Bradley George. He grew up in the Austin area and attended Austin Public Schools.

Eli loved being with his friends and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was a great uncle. He enjoyed playing baseball, fishing, and being with his dog, Rocco. Eli was an avid gamer and especially enjoyed playing Grand Theft Auto.

Eli is survived by his dad, Brad George of Austin; mom, Becky (Jose) Renteria of Lakota, Iowa; sister, Destinee (Rene Renteria) George of Albert Lea; brother, Collyn George of Austin; nieces and nephews, Sophia, Leon, Liliana, Aziel, Aviano, Mariela, and Royce; paternal grandparents, April (Curt Nelson) George of Brownsdale and Cindy George of Minnesota City, Minnesota; maternal grandparents, Bonnie Broitzman of Albert Lea and Barbara Charlson of Poland; aunt, Jessica Moulis; uncle, Chris (Donna) Charlson; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Steve George; maternal grandfather, Dennis Charlson; and maternal great-grandparents Leaon and Helen Broitzman.

A celebration of Eli’s life will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. A prayer service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
