Dennis "Denny" James Bahl

Dennis “Denny” James Bahl, age 80, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home in Austin, Minnesota. Denny was born on August 12, 1946, in Austin, Minnesota to Robert and Signa (Hanson) Bahl. He was a lifelong resident of Austin, Minnesota and graduated from Austin High School in 1964. After high school, he joined the United States Army. After returning from the military, he met Denise Dvorak. Denny and Denise were married on April 30, 1971, at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church. Denny was all about being outdoors. He loved hunting deer, fishing and playing softball. When his sons were growing up, he coached their baseball teams. He loved watching them as well as professional baseball, especially the Minnesota Twins. Denny’s favorite place was the front porch of his cabin.

Denny is survived by his wife, Denise Bahl; sons, Jason (Mandy) Bahl, Brian Bahl, and Steven Bahl (Becki); Samantha Bahl (Damien), Katelin Bahl (Joel), Russel Fisch, and Brooke Fisch; siblings, Bob Bahl, Gary (Lois) Bahl, Linda (Terry) Foreman, Julie Ecoff, and Bonnie (Dan) Ruble; dog, Daisy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Signa Bahl; brother, Dick Bahl, sister-in-law, Jeanette Bahl; brother-in-law Geoff Ecoff.

A funeral service for Denny will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday August 28, 2026, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin, Minnesota. Visitation will take place one hour prior. Interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery of Austin, Minnesota. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
