Delmer Earl Tapp, age 93, of Dexter, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at St. Mark’s Living in Austin.
Delmer was born on October 7, 1932, to Harvey and Julia (Kruse) in Brownsdale, Minnesota. He married Ardythe Krull on June 14, 1957, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Brownsdale. Together they had five children.
Farming wasn’t a livelihood it was a way of life. As a dedicated farmer in the Dexter area, he took pride in working on the land and especially treasured the times spent farming alongside his sons. Those years in the field were filled with hard work and strong bonds of family.
In 1989, Delmer built a family cabin in northern Minnesota. While it was a place where family could gather and enjoy the outdoors, it was also a place where Delmer continued to lend a helping hand. True to his generous nature, he spent much of the time assisting nearby lodges with their daily tasks, always happy to stay busy and be of service to others.
Delmer’s greatest joy was his family, he is survived by his five children, Linda Tapp, Alan Tapp, Norman Tapp, Daniel (Darcy) Tapp, and Sandy (Don) Daily; seven grandchildren, Alexandra Tapp, Christian Daily, William Tapp, Miranda Daily, Caitlynn Tapp, Lukas Tapp, and Liam Tapp; one brother, John (Amy) Tapp; and many nieces and nephews.
Delmer was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Julia; wife, Ardythe; seven brothers, Howard, Raymond, Donald, Wayne, Glen, Leslie, and Gaylord; two sisters, Maxine Carmichael and Irene Parker; and daughter-in-law, Kelly (McCluskey) Tapp.
The funeral service for Delmer will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. The visitation will take place from 11:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the service. A luncheon will be served immediately after the funeral service, with the burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Brownsdale thereafter. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
