Daniel G. Adams-Sveen, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Saint Marys Campus. Daniel was born in Austin, Minnesota on August 7, 1967, the son of Darrel Adams and Elaine (nee Cummings, Adams) Lane. He attended Austin Schools and graduated from Pacelli High School. Later, he went to Albert Lea for a culinary course. Dan had numerous jobs; at the present time he was working at Perkins. He really enjoyed his plants and flowers, liked watching storms, and loved cooking. Dan married Brian Sveen on February 27, 2021, at the Old Mill Restaurant. 

Survivors include his husband, Brian Sveen-Adams; children, Carrie (Chris) Palmer, Derek (Dan) Sveen-Winters, Jacob Sveen, and Mykiah Amos; two granddaughters, Emily and Ona Palmer; sister, Pam (Wally) Schmidt; brother, Curt Adams; two nieces, Liah (Adam) Olsen and LeAnn (Juan) Schmidt; great niece, Jacey Olsen; great nephew, Brayden Olsen; one aunt; and many cousins and friends. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Darrel Adams and Elaine Lane; grandparents, Delbert (Irene) Adams, Lloyd (Mary) Cummings, uncles, John “Shorty” Cummings, Robert Cummings, and Tom Higgins; and aunt, Pat Higgins.

A Celebration of Life for Dan will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the American Legion Post 91 in Austin. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
