Cynthia "Cindy" Mae Fett

Cynthia “Cindy” Mae Fett, age 65, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away at her home on Monday, July 6, 2026. She was born on December 27, 1960, in Austin, Minnesota, to Donald and Beverly (Bartelt) Hoban. Cindy graduated from Austin High School in 1977. On November 12, 1977, she married Richard “Rick” Fett at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Waltham, Minnesota. Together they built a life centered on family, which was always her greatest pride. Cindy worked as a teacher’s aide at the Queen of Angels CLC program for public schools. She was a former member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Waltham. Cindy loved being outside, planting flowers, and spending time with her family. Above all, she cherished her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Fett of Austin; son, Dustin (Sarah Felt) Fett of Austin; daughter, Jayna (Corey) Aldrich of Blooming Prairie; grandchildren, Julia, Madison, and Mariah; step‑grandchildren, Rhiannon, Leslie, Colin, Abby, and Dylan; brothers, Doug (Cathy) Hoban of Texas, Gary (Diane) Hoban of Ellendale, Minnesota, Thomas (Sue) Hoban of New Ulm, Minnesota, Bradley Hoban of Mankato, Minnesota, and Donald Hoban, Jr., of Austin, Minnesota. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Beverly Hoban; and her nephew, Nathan Hoban.

A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held from 12:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Eagles Club in Austin. Memorials are preferred to the Hormel Institute. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
