Brian Keith Richardson

Brian Keith Richardson, age 60, of Rose Creek, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, in Wabasha, Minnesota. Brian was born on April 14, 1966, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Keith and Regena “Sally” (Brown) Richardson. He graduated from Central Webster High School in Burnside, Iowa. Following graduation, he moved to Austin, Minnesota, to attend Austin VoTech, studying to be an electrician. Brian began working at Hormel as an electrician for many years before moving to Kestner Electric to continue his career. On September 22, 1990, Brian was united in marriage to Kim Kathleen (Nelson) Asp at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. He enjoyed tinkering and could fix almost anything- he was a modern-day MacGyver. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, attending music festivals, and auctioning. Together, Brian and Kim enjoyed traveling and finding unique places to visit. Brian had a soft spot in his heart for cats and is best summed up as a collector of treasures and adventures. We will love and miss him forever.

Brian is survived by his wife, Kim of Rose Creek; daughter, Emily (Garrett) Wehner of Adams; grandchildren, Atreus and Cyrus Wehner of Adams; siblings, Cathy (David) Mickelson of Lehigh, Iowa, Kevin (Shannon) Richardson of Estherville, Iowa, Kirk (Susan) Richardson of Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, and Dawn (Kim) Bissen of Adams; step-daughter, Rebecca (Asp) Wright of Lake City; and many in-laws, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Regena Richardson; grandparents; and mother-in-law, Colleen Nelson.

The memorial service for Brian will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. The visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
