Beverly Dutcher

On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, our precious Beverly Dutcher, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother took a walk with the Lord after a long and fierce battle with cancer.

She touched many lives through her whole life, especially kids from young to old. Everyone deserves to be loved and helped. She was born December 10, 1959, to Harold and Betty-Jo Hubbard in Yankton, SD. From there they moved to Mason City, IA, where she spent her formative years. She didn’t finish high school, because of her health problems, but she did get her GED. She married Robin Helgeson and had 2 beautiful children, Jeseriah and Bobbi-Jo, defying all the odds the doctors had given her. Then in 1993, she married Jeff Dutcher, where she found true love. From there she flourished, doing what she loved to do. She attended Riverland for her Social Services degree, but family came first. Her initial mission was to start a house for teens, but she was never able to get the funding to get it going. That did not stop her. She had a passion for seeing people succeed, helping kids graduate, homeschooling her grandkids and others. She had many life skills, from all she had been through, to pass along.

She liked traveling with her husband and family to visit family and friends. She loved to go and see Miss Cary in Ok, visit friends in CO, her sister-in-law in AZ, and to CA to visit her 2 adopted girls Sherri and Rachele. When she got sick with cancer they tried to travel between treatments as much as possible. She wanted to go south again to see her friend Jon, but got too sick to go. Her son and granddaughter moved in to help out. She dearly loved spending time with her great-granddaughter. She loved everyone no matter the cost. Always said love knows no bonds.

She is preceded in death by her father, Harold; sister, Bonnie; and brother, Bruce. Left to cherish her, her mother, Betty-Jo Hubbard, Mason City, IA; sister, Barbara-Jean, OR; husband, Jeff Dutcher, Austin, MN; son, Jeseriah Helgeson, Austin, MN; daughter, Bobbi-Jo (Aaron) Olson, Austin, MN; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many adopted family members and friends.

A celebration of life for Beverly will be held at the Salvation Army in Austin, Minnesota, Fellowship Hall on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Lunch will be served potluck style, so please bring a side to share. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
