Beverly "Bev" Jane Prantner

Beverly “Bev” Jane Prantner, age 97, died Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin, Minnesota. She was born March 13, 1928, to Raymond and Mildred (Foss) Hartley at Saint Olaf Hospital, Austin, Minnesota.

Bev married Emil Prantner, a WWII veteran, on October 10, 1945. In 1948, they bought a farm in Freeborn County, Minnesota. They were married for 72 years and lived on the farm together for 70 years. Bev lived on the farm another 8 years after Emil died.

She was a longtime member of Trondhjem Lutheran Church, Brick Hall and Bakers Dozen Mother’s Club.

Bev is survived by her daughter, Marsha (Steve) Wilcox; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her sister, Barbara Prantner. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil; son, Dean; and brothers, Keith, Nolan, and Kenneth.

Beverly’s family is very grateful for the wonderful care she received at Sacred Heart Nursing Home and the Mayo Hospice care team.

A memorial service for Bev will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin, Minnesota. The visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Bohemian National Cemetery, Myrtle, Minnesota, at a later date. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
