Aaron Clayton Olson, age 40, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at his home. Aaron was born on January 27, 1984, in Austin to Alfred “Al” and Maxine “Mickey” (Hansen) Olson. He lived in Austin his entire life attending Neveln Elementary School, Ellis Middle School, and Austin High School. Aaron acquired his GED. He worked various jobs including at the Austin Daily Herald, IFP, and working as a PCA for his mother. Aaron was a guitarist and loved rock music especially Black Sabbath, Metallica, and Led Zeppelin. He enjoyed going to concerts, and playing video games, especially World of Warcraft, Fallout, Skyrim Terraria, and Mario. Aaron loved playing the board games Life and Monopoly (he always somehow got boardwalk), and recently got into the card game, Doomlings. He enjoyed road trips to see falling stars, the Northern Lights, and eclipses; he always got mad at the GPS. Aaron also enjoyed trips to the casino. His favorite movies were Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and random B movies. His favorite TV series was Yellowstone. In 2002 he started dating the love of his life, Bobbi Jo. Life happened quickly and Evan was born in March 2003 and Lacey followed in September 2008. Aaron and Bobbi Jo wed on a lovely night in October 2018. We find peace in knowing he always found comfort in Jesus.
Aaron is survived by his wife, Bobbi Jo; children, Evan and Lacey; father, Al (Lynette) Olson; siblings, Laurie Gaudiello, Shawn Olson, Jessica (Dee) Salois, Shannon (Justin) McFarland, and Philip Olson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine; maternal and paternal grandparents; and in-laws, Beverly Dutcher and Robin Helgeson.
At Aaron’s request, no funeral services will be held. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
