Allen Wilhelm

Allen L. Wilhelm , age 79, of New Richland, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Benedictine Nursing Home in Owatonna, Minnesota. Allen was born on January 6, 1942, in Austin, Minnesota to Otto and Elsie (Tiedeman) Wilhelm of Brownsdale, Minnesota. He graduated from Rose Creek High School in 1959. After graduation, Allen enlisted in the Army in 1962 with basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He finished his enlistment in Germany in 1965. Allen then farmed with his father in the Brownsdale and Sargeant areas. He also worked at several golf courses. Following retirement, he continued to work various part time jobs. Allen enjoyed many activities with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Allen’s life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Blooming Prairie Serviceman’s Club in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home in Blooming Prairie is assisting the family with arrangements.
