Scott Frank Nash, age 60 of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Methodist Campus. Scott was born October 5, 1958, in Austin, Minnesota, to Kenneth and Frances (Myers) Nash. He grew up and attended school in Austin. Scott proudly served his country in the United States Army. On March 5, 1978, he married Darlene Larson at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Austin. Together they had three children, Erick, Janny and Jessica. Scott was a lifelog Austin resident and worked in renovations with his friends. He loved NASCAR, collected Menards memorabilia, was a big Minnesota Vikings fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Scott was well loved and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Nash of Austin, Minnesota; son, Erick Nash of Mapleview, Minnesota; daughters, Janny (Aubrey) Moton of Austin, Minnesota, Jessica (Bronson Dahmen) Nash of Austin, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Kortez, Laveya, Korbin Bennett, Kaden, Kamryn Helfritz, Tayshaun Benson, Tionte Nash; two brothers, Gary (Jayne) Nash of Austin, Minnesota, Randy (Gail) Nash of Austin, Minnesota; two sisters, Jan (Dennis) Harmer of Austin, Minnesota, Jeanne (Brent) Crump of Austin, Minnesota; step-mother, Rosella Nash of Mapleview, Minnesota; two step-brothers, Steve Hall of Austin, Minnesota, Mike Hall of Twin Cities; step-sister, Joy (Ron) Louters of Columbus, Ohio; special friend, Gary Tabor of Austin, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Frances Nash; one brother, Ricky Nash.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
