Traditional Service
and Cremation
The funeral service with the body present provides a period of time for
the family and friends to gather informally to pay their respects, as
well as an established time for a formal funeral ceremony. You may
choose to have viewing and a traditional funeral service followed by
cremation instead of burial. We have caskets designed specifically for
cremation.
Memorial Service with
Cremation
The memorial service after cremation, with or without the urn present,
provides an opportunity for family and friends to join together in a
formal ceremony. This will serve to acknowledge that a life has been
lived, as well as a declaration that a life has ended. We can help you
plan a personalized memorial service that will be a meaningful final event
in our chapel or at your local church.
Cremation Only
If you select cremation as the final disposition of the body without any
viewing, visitation or funeral service, our services will include the
support of our staff, necessary authorizations, removal and care of the
remains.
The cremated remains are usually placed in some type
of permanent receptacle, referred to as an urn, before being committed to
a final resting-place. The urn may be interred in family burial plot or
placed in a niche (special area in a mausoleum for cremated remains or
other family grounds). The scattering of remains also may be done at a
designated geographical spot on land or in water in accordance with state
or local laws. If scattering is done, it is highly advisable that a site
also be chosen for a permanent memorial that will provide a place of
pilgrimage for those who want to remember and celebrate the life of the
loved one.
Urns
We have a complete selection of urns that may be kept in your
home or are appropriate for burial or scattering.
